Syrian youth are one of the most affected groups due to the ongoing war in Syria. Most of them left their studies and others had no choice but to migrate in search of a safe life, so it has been necessary to support this group through efficient projects that gives youth hope.
The Step Project, launched by Takaful Al Sham, provided young men and women with life skills and various professional training, in addition to providing safe spaces for trainees. The project center, which is located in Al-Atareb in rural Aleppo and includes fully equipped training rooms, provides the best environment for the trainees.
In order to enhance the goals and objectives of the project, the Step project provided distinguishing services, such as:
• Free transportation services for the trainees who lived far from the training center to facilitate their access to the training.
• A special place in the center specially to care for children, so that mothers can safely attend training sessions.
The project was concluded with a party like that of a graduation ceremony, attended by the trainers and trainees with the administrative staff, where large rewards were presented to the outstanding trainees in the form of professional tools (related to their professions) enabling them to start their own project/business, relying on themselves to become productive members of society.
