Agriculture in Syria is one of the most important sources of income for the locals and farmers. For many years, the agricultural sector has witnessed a significant decline as a result of the war in Syria.
Farmers in northern Syria suffer from a lack of agricultural fertilizers and their inability to secure the basic needs for improving agricultural crops, in addition to the severe difficulties they face in marketing their products as soon as their crops ripen.
Takaful Al Sham launched the Sanabel Project which supports farmers in northern Syria through several services, most notably:
• Providing theoretical and practical training on the latest agricultural methods that are available in the region
• Providing necessary fertilizers for agricultural crops
• Providing assistance to farmers to sell their various products
Sanabel was implemented in the countryside of Idleb and rural Aleppo.
