Food prices has increased drastically in northern Syria due to the devaluation of the Syrian pound. This, accompanied by the scarcity of job opportunities and lack of income for many families, has led to a catastrophic economic situation in the region and daily suffering for most of the people, especially the displaced.
Takaful Al Sham, in response to this dire situation, has launched the “Life Support” project, which aims to provide food support to the people in northern Syria, through electronic vouchers that are distributed to the families who are in need the most, and can be disbursed with various food materials from approved exchange centers in the project area.
The project covered neighbourhoods and areas of Idleb and the Aleppo countryside in northern Syria.
