Believing that education is a right for all, and the pathway to the cumulative building of children towards a better future. TAS has worked to increase educational opportunities for children, and improve the quality of education in a safe environment, through interventions that enhance access to quality education, and ensure that vulnerable children and youth, especially girls and those affected by conflict, have equitable access to relevant formal and non-formal education, both in camps and in cities, with a special focus on children who drop out and encourage them to return to school.
The Syrian crisis has not only been labeled by the United Nations as the largest humanitarian catastrophe in human history since World War II, but more so by the gross harm it has caused on more than 6 million children and over 4 million families.
This massive devastation has continued for 10 years; thus showing us the impotence of the international community. Further efforts through advocacy and solidarity by all humanitarian actors is needed to bring light to this tragedy and an end to the suffering.”
